Surprisingly, Verity believes in Peter, and the boy, and even in the Sentinel, who seems determined to become her own protector...but from what?

Susanna’s interest in the mystery of the ‘lost’ Ninth Legion began in childhood, when she read Rosemary Sutcliffe’s The Eagle of the Ninth, recently made into a movie.
