Rootstocks is a private winemaking club situated on a ten-acre winegrowing estate in the heart of Niagara’s Wine Country. It is a vine-to-bottle experience available to members only that allows them to share world class, commercially made, privately labeled, limited production VQA wines with family, friends and colleagues.

Rootstocks has been created on a fundamental belief that individuals want to be part of the vineyard process without quitting their day job. With this experience you can enjoy hands-on winemaking activities and vineyard events with a Sommelier and Winemaker.

Membership allows everyone from novices to experienced wine enthusiasts the privilege of a grape-to-bottle knowledge, participation in the winemaking process, and acquisition of some of Niagara’s finest world class wines.

The vineyard, located at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, is home to Cabernet, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Members receive a personal allocation of wine from their customized wine program and outstanding lifestyle benefits in Niagara Wine Country. Rootstocks is a unique opportunity for any oenophile.

Rootstocks has been conceived and founded by Andrew and Christina Brooks. The dynamic couple have an extensive background in the fine dining restaurant industry, real estate development and are the also the founders of Crush on Niagara Wine Tours, a successful and well respected tour and event operation in Niagara Wine Country. Andrew Brooks is also a wine author and a certified Sommelier with the International Sommelier guild.

After the millennium, Andrew & Christina were daunted at the prospect of living the rest of their lives in the hectic pace of the concrete jungle. In 2002 they packed up their lives and life savings and bought a run down Concorde grape farm and orchard on the outskirts of Beamsville. Seven years later the main and guest houses on the property have been renovated and the new vineyards established.

One day Christina said "Surely there are others who would like to experience this without the enormous stress and expense?". Rootstocks has been created on a fundamental belief that individuals want to be part of the vineyard and winemaking process without quitting their day job.

Vineyard work and applications are directed and supervised by the winemaking and field team at Featherstone Estate Winery. Wines are hand crafted by respected Winemaker David Johnson. David has a tireless devotion to producing small lots of world class wine from the Featherstone vineyard and embraces biodynamic concepts.
